Ellmo, you're in. Go get 'em, tiger!

What DRDteam project would it be without a guy, who came out with DRD name in the first place?

Count me in brothers.

...and sorry for the bump.

Alterworldruler, your secret forum account is now approved. If only I could figure out how to get invisionfree to notify me when somebody registers.

[edit] Nevermind, seems Grubber has added the secret forum on DRD Team forums, so you guys don't need to register!

I'll check out your version nash later oh hell time is nuts for me today

EDIT: Nash this is nice but.... armors are too expensive i would to see them like that:

Green armor for 50
Blue armor for 150

and make special NPC at entrace greeting you and giving that card to display money

Alright, team members, register up here:

http://s8.invisionfree.com/coldhardcashdev/

This is our official Secret Forum. Don't worry about the fact that I posted it in the open - I'll have to validate all new registrations before they can see the actual forums, otherwise they'll just see an empty forum index.

Nice work so far.

Here's what I have so far. See nash-changes.txt to see what's changed.

DO NOT OVERWRITE YOUR WORKING COPY WITH MY STUFF! I suggest you extract them to a temporary new folder and check it out first. Just a friendly reminder. :)

You can easily change the prices in the script01.txt but I need to tidy that file up and make it more readable.

by wildweasel » Wed Jan 03, 2007 5:00

How hard is it to change the prices later on, after all the scripts are in place? Would I be able to simply edit a single number in the script file, recompile it and replace the lump in the wad file?

by Nash » Wed Jan 03, 2007 3:47

So far I have a doctor who sells a stimpack and a medikit for 25 and 50 CR respectively, and a tech guy selling green armour and blue armour for 100 and 200 CR.

What kind of prices do you have in mind?

BTW: I've ran into a wall because the KSSC 1.3 compiler seems to be broken as far as merchants go. I switched back to using KSSC 1.2 but the problem with the older version of the compiler is that it is hard-coded:

1. Stimpack for 25
2. Medikit for 50

.. the "for n" text is hardcoded to be suffixed after the item name. So it's not possible to have it show like below:

1. Stimpack (25 CR)
2. Medikit (50 CR)

Any attempts to do the above will look like this in-game:

1. Stimpack (25 CR) for 25
2. Medikit (50 CR) for 50

I hope Kaiser fixes the compiler ASAP...

That's fine.

by Nash » Tue Jan 02, 2007 23:46

Strife dialogues require the maps lumps to be named in the MAPxx format so I'm changing the map lump name.

I hope it's okay with everyone.

by Nash » Tue Jan 02, 2007 22:53

File received. Getting to work right away. ;)
