I have already commented elsewhere and have nothing to add other than to reiterate that Espi was justifiably held in very high regard in the Doom community, and rightly so for many reasons.

A sad, sad day.

According to community member Esselfortium, talented Doom mapper and texture artist Esa "Espi" Repo has died of cancer. Even for those of us who did not personally speak with Esa, this news comes as a terrible shock, as his texture skills were unmatched, and he was also very friendly even to people he was unfamiliar with.

Esa, the DRD Team salutes you.
