Perpetually moving pushwalls?

Post by darkhaven3 »

Hey, I'd like to experiment with modding for ECWolf. I've got some of the core concepts down and I think I generally understand what's going on with xlat and how it works, but what I don't understand is how to get pushwalls to move perpetually in a rectangular motion for a special effect. Is this possible in ECWolf 1.3.2 or in the dev versions?

I don't believe it's possible in ECWolf yet (can't remember just how much of ROTT pushwalls I implemented). One thing I can't say for sure is that game play wise such pushwalls would be horribly broken. My pushwall implementation was too clever for its own good and is completely unusable for ROTT style push walls. Obviously this is one of the thousand items on my to-do list.

I have a question - transparent walls. Any way to achieve this at the present? I tried it and it wouldn't do it :(.

Nope. Xaser was working on a version of transparent walls, but that code is not finished yet.
