How to load a mod on linux?

Hi! I just found out about ecwolf today and i would like to use a mod for better graphics but I have absolutely no idea how to make them load on linux. my game files are in /home/steve/.config/ecwolf/ but where would mods go and how to load them?

The same as all the other platforms, although I don't know if any DE supports drag and drop off hand. But you can certainly do open with or use the terminal:
