What version of GZDoom are you using, and what is your GPU, and what is your operating system?

When is the last time you updated your drivers, and are you using Windows or not?

Hm. This is a weird one. The sky sphere is stored as a vertex buffer and never actually changes. So it's very hard to find an explanation for such a weird effect other than suspecting a hardware defect.

are you doing any overclocking of the GPU? I know many weird artifacts can happen if the core or memory clock is pushed above what it can handle - just what came to mind..

I suppose another thing to ask would be - does this happen with any other games? Please try things like EDuke32, Quake 2 (there's a shareware version available I think, if you don't have it), as well as some Direct3D games as well (Half-Life 1/2, Unreal Tournament 99/2004/3/etc).

In fact, try ZDoom (or GZDoom in software mode), as that uses Direct3D drawing surfaces, so it'd be handy to know if it suffers that as well.

If it happens in other games, the hardware and/or system are suspect.

Nope, sky renders normally.

Good news - GZDoom x64 g2.2 pre-2054-g302f59e (Aug 22) renders sky normally, this bug dissapeared.
