I vote aye on both.

1) Should this be merged in?
2) Should this be merged in on this pull request for GZDoom?
Yay! Thank you Eruanna. <3

As for (2), yes. I like this look better. :)

EDIT: Whoops, just saw this... I think MaxEd's layout looks more professional. Just my two cents. xD

Unfortunately that is useless to me, since he didn't bother posting his form code or anything else helpful other than just showing off a different layout.

I know. :D I'd like to apologize if the tone of my post wasn't translating correctly (it was at night when I posted that) - what I really meant was, it looks cool (hence that "professional" remark) but you know, your layout works just as well for me and I won't lose sleep over whose layout makes it into upstream. :)

The fact that it EXISTS and FUNCTIONALLY works is more than enough for me! Thank you so much for doing this. :D

You're welcome - and thank you. :)

The news of ZDoom's official discontinuation has revealed that an impressive number of people out there had no idea you could use the ZDoom software renderer in GZDoom. So getting this was a good thing.

That's actually a VERY common misconception - even in Facebook alone I see so much hate from people with dinosaur computers who diss GZDoom because they didn't even know GZDoom has a software renderer.

They may be vocal but, surely, these days they must be very much a minority.

Isn't that always the case with the noisy ones?

I've found something that had a nice RC editor built-in and quickly recreated the MaxED layout:

Spoiler: code

If you're interested.

Going to wait for Graf's word on this. Since the IWAD picker is in GZDoom now I'd prefer to keep them consistent. If he wants the new layout I'll pull request it in.

Thank you, Gez.

A lot better than the old layout.

While you're at it - do you think it would be okay to purge the commented out zdoom code?

Used this for GZDoom, too, but I replaced all the literal constants with their former defined names to avoid problems.
