3d-floor seam is broken by a secondary 3d-floor in the same space

When combining multiple sectors with water 3d-floors the texture between them is usualy hidden - however - if you combine two 3d-floors in the same space this seem to be broken.

Here is a file - this is under water - and there are water in all 3 sectors - but the middle sector also has a 3d-floor with a grid-texture on it to block the player from reaching the other side - however - this seem to breake the hiding of the water-side texture - which is visible instad of seeing clearly into the continous water-sector. (not sure how to explain it better)

I know from previously that stitching several water 3d-floors together works fine even if they origin from various 3d-floors as long as they have matching materials.

Can this be fixed? or is there a way around this without using 3-dfloor for the grid? I could use a middle texture - but that would either repeat only once - or repeat the entire length into the sky which I do no want :)
