[Windows 10] Before starting GZDoom I see random hotkey tips in the center
Windows 10 on a MacBook Pro mid-2012 here. Graphics driver is nVidia GeForce.
Whenever I start GZDoom, configured at fullscreen (didn't test windowed yet), a tooltip appears in the center of the screen, with white text on dark grey background, telling me to "Press Ctrl+Shift+G to <do something>" (replace Ctrl+Shift+G with any other hotkey). The tips seem random and unexpected. Do you know what might be the cause? I'll post a screenshot if I can make it, when I'm at my laptop.

No idea what strange things Microsoft is doing here...

That sounds like the game bar in Windows 10. I think you can make it stop by pressing Ctrl+Shift+G once to set the "I've seen the ad" flag in registry.

That is Windows 10's new thing. You can dismiss it by X'ing it out once.
Basically it just gives you a game recorder and some other miscellaneous functions no one really asked for but Microsoft figured we needed. They are niche, at best, really.

One more reason not to upgrade...

People seem to know what I'm talking about, so I guess I can postpone showing a screenshot here. Anyway, if there's a "bug" here, it may be that GZDoom triggers the game toolbox in a situation where it's inaccessible anyway (after a second or two, GZDoom becomes fullscreen and the toolbox is left behind), so the solution would be to make it stop triggering it.

If we knew what triggered it...
I have a suspicion that this has to do with poor OpenGL integration of this piece of shit so that it won't behave correctly.

You can turn it off by following these instructions: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/8637 ... -10-a.html
I don't think there's any way gzdoom can turn it off. The GameBar class controlling it has nothing, and there's no other class in the Windows.Gaming namespace. Totally useless. Like the rest of UWP.

Hit ESC to show the menu (you will need mouse support enabled if you're doing this in fullscreen)
Hit Win+G to show the game bar
Hit Win+G again to hide the game bar
It should never show now. Not in GZDoom or in any other game.

I kinda like that Windows dvr, it's the only app that can record vulkan games here ...
The weird thing is that it can even be triggered with CMD.exe
