Why is it that...

Post by Davidos »

Why is it that on every forums I go to I get my arse flamed off for saying just one thing?

Like last I misread something and I wondered if the people on those forums were making a mod for something that you can't buy anymore, so I said: I don't think you can buy that game anywhere, now what?"

I got flamed to the 7th HELL.

Just cause some smacktard made a link to those forums saying SOMEGAME mod. Meh?

Well.. I hate DOOMWORLD (or DUMBWORLD, whatever you may call it) because they are really not receptive at all with new members, their wad's reviews just bash new mappers and modders making them to abbandon his or her projects, and I just think that they are arrogant...

But what the hell, it's a free world heh?

*comes out of my hiding place*

Heh, I know exactly how you feel. Let me tell you something though; I've been at many forums since 2002, and from what I've learned (in my point of view, AFAIK), it takes years of experience to understand how a forum works.

Most of the time though, when one registers at the very first forum he has visited in his life, he tends to forget to read the Rules/FAQs provided in that particular forum.

Only problem I have with DW is that it doesn't work for me on my computer. Otherwise it's just another forum with it's own purposes, advantages and problems.

Not sure if that's what the OP was referring to though.

Their reviews are sometimes an bit harsh but people would still play the maps even if it gets an bad review its only one guy his opinion. And most of the times I just read them but the screens are more important to me they make me decide if I would download it or not if the reviewer says its an bad map but the screens look interesting I download it and make up my own mind.

I don't make maps just to get an review I do it because I enjoy doing it personally I just don't really care anymore if I get an review or not its only an small bonus they way I look at it.Making maps just to get an review is an stupid thing to do and yes this time I mean it.

Hah, you guys haven't seen the worst places in the nets.

Well, neither have I, but I know of a few bad places. My cousin goes to a place called Star Wars Diplomacy, and those people there can be horrible. Not all of them, but a few are complete jerks.

The admin sent me this

False

"Ironsights doesn't do sh* for accuracy"

False

"If you kill a certain enemy <I think it was combine/combine_s> the game locks up and dies..."

Also false. (Just happens to you, I can kill any combine NPC and the game won't crash)

"The GAME itself lags, not the computer. It's almost like you are on a server with high ping O_o"

Let's take a looky here. SMOD. Online. Lag? OH WAIT, I NEVER WOULD HAVE GUESSED LOZL.

Please get a new avatar. The one you have scares me.
Besides, about that crashing stuff and all I tested it with 6 other people so uh... yeah...

And that lag problem was on SINGLE PLAYER...
