Every time I launch the game it shows the initialisation, then "this game is NOT shareware screen", then a blue screen with an X in the corner, then really zoomed in text I think it is? Then when it's about to enter the main menu it just crashes. Anybody know what to do about this?
I'm running Arch Linux and using the ECWolf package on the AUR. It's listed as version 1.4.1-1 but the program says "1.4.1 (<unknown version>).

Re: Crash on launch
Check the md5 sum of your wl6 files against the hashes published on the wiki: https://maniacsvault.net/ecwolf/wiki/Game_data
If they don't match and you've obtained the data files from a legitimate source then the patch utility on the ECWolf downloads page should take care of it.

If you need a legitimate copy of Wolfenstein 3D, you can buy it from https://www.gog.com/en/game/wolfenstein_3d. It also includes Spear of Destiny.SalsaGal wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 1:30 Every time I launch the game it shows the initialisation, then "this game is NOT shareware screen", then a blue screen with an X in the corner, then really zoomed in text I think it is?
