The Phobos Directive: 9-map E1 GZDooM hub [New pix 1/2011]
The Phobos Directive is a 9-map hub for GZDooM. Each map has a "core" area that is based on the respective maps of E1, but also includes new, industrial-type areas to explore. To make the game less repetitive and more challenging, gameplay will not be restricted to Episode I weapons & enemies. It has many new graphics and new skies, will have new music, and features an inventory system and new powerups.

Looks pretty cool. I'll keep an eye on this.

Very nice. Some excellent and appropriate use of GZdoom features to compliment the Episode1 feeling of the levels.

Hello, fellow Persecution Complexers.
I'm hoping you guys will be up to testing the game when it's done.

That'd be a pleasure for me.

That'd be difficult for me.
Arm still knackered and I've done my leg in too (ruptured Achilles tendon) which means I couldn't even find a comfortable position to sit in and play even if my arm was OK. I hope to be out of plaster in 3 weeks. 5 weeks so far.

That's shitty news. I've been meaning to catch up with you regarding your arm, and now this news about the leg sounds awful. Perhaps I'll touch base tomorrow.Enjay wrote:Arm still knackered and I've done my leg in too (ruptured Achilles tendon) which means I couldn't even find a comfortable position to sit in and play even if my arm was OK. Regarding the play-testing, it's not as if the project will be available any time soon. It will probably be no earlier than next year before I can get anything together in a playable form. Nigel, given that your elbow may continue to cause you problems, perhaps you can simply look over the game (minus the fights) to check for logic, appearance, and everything else that you do so well.
On a related note, Jeff Ligda has agreed to create all new music for the game, and DBT has agreed to play-test (I also intend to ask him for DECORATE refinements). So, as you can see, I was not out of line when I made the reference to The Persecution Complex in my earlier post.

That looks promising Even though I am not sure if this picture makes sense...

I just wonder, all these different e1 remakes are good or great, but I never see any d2 or e2-4 remakes

Sure, Phobos has atmosphere: Creepy. Scary. Goosebump-inducing. Terrifying.Tormentor667 wrote:...considering that Phobus doesn't have any kind of atmosphere...
