Is it open-source already? It was so underrated back then, but it had good graphics and great level design.

An okay game for the time, though not exceptional as far as I recall.

We need a port of Depth Dwellers to ECWolf. Then we'll talk.

Or just ask anyone involved with the Doom / Wolf3D community. I wouldn't be surprised if the person who wrote that had a friend involved in the community who did know what you are known for.

Ahh. Yeah Michael Larabel has a tendency to write things confusingly like that. This article on it probably is the best written although there's still some lazy journalism in there. (Seriously, they couldn't be bothered to look up what I'm known for? :P)

I was just going by what I read here: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=n ... px=MTcxMjM and it made it sound like it was a joint effort by Softdisk (Flat Rock) and id Software. It would be exciting to be able to play the Catacomb games in an updated engine (source port).

Softdisk (Flat Rock Software) and Blzut3! id Software has nothing to do with these releases as they have no stake in the games. ;)

The catacomb games are definitely looking like a target for ECWolf. At the moment I see no reason why I can't support them, but Blake Stone is first in line. I did promise Richard a port, but the deal was no time pressure.

For Hovertank, I do think I'm going to run the game data in ECWolf. But I don't think I'm going to focus on it. This could change at any time though, but the reason is the game is supposed to have slightly crappy control since you're in a tank. At the moment I imagine ECWolf will run it as if the player is human and leave it at that. (And some people might really like that.) Like I said, we'll see though.

Softdisk and id Software have released the source code for Hovertank 3D, Catacomb 3D and the Catacomb Trilogy, available here: https://github.com/FlatRockSoft/
Perhaps they can be included in ECWolf at some point in the future?
