It's as easy as falling off a log. Create a single room within which you create another sector. To simplify the testing process, make sure the second sector is not perfectly positioned on the grid, and angle it (say at 45 degrees). Assign a flat, such as CEIL1_2 to the second sector, insert a player start, then save.

Run the saved test map along with the sector modification tool, pull up a plasma rifle (which, after the recent update, you now get automatically), select your mode, aim at the sector with the offending texture (FLAT), and fire away until you have the perfect rotation/scaling/panning. Use the appropriate bind key to spit out a log file with the exact script special you need.

The whole process can be completed in under 5 minutes.

Moving to editing forum and stickying - I think a tool like this could benefit from such exposure. Thank you for the find, Rex! :)

TheMisterCat has posted a very useful tool to assist with precise sector rotation/scaling/panning without the trial and error that normally goes with it. Check it out at the DooM World forums
