PHP and MySQL are the easiest way to go IMO. PHP is a very easy if you know a C-like language (like ACS) and MySQL is very very easy to understand on a basic level.

Never heard of CMS or WordPress.

Just out of curiosity, what Site Systems are all those hosted pages on DRD using? Do you have some experiences with PHP/MySQL bases CMS'? What are good ones, what are simple ones? What about WordPress?
