It works here! I thought those fonts are already in ECWolf haha since you posted about this on your blog post. I have to manually add it to command line though.
Spoiler:
Also the IWadpicker shows them twice for some weird reason :?:

TE is borked for me though. Crashes after selecting difficulty :(

Finished the demo. It crashes/closes after the last level so I assume some screen was supposed to appear. Apart from some missing UI textures and low quality sound this works very well. Good job

I still have no idea how to play TE. The episodes are separate .bin archives

The fonts aren't included since it's not going to be in the final product. This is just a shim to satisfy some of the code.

The IWAD picker code is not final there. The second encounter listed there loads the third encounter + wolflvls.bin. You can play the other episodes by loading them like a mod (which they technically are) then you can use the third encounter option in the picker.

Not sure what's up. Can you post an updated crash dump?

Oh you're right. Using the episodes as mods with wolf3d.bin works. I never thought it'd work that way :D

Also wouldn't sharing the demo (FE) be legal anyway? It's pretty much same as W3D/SoD shareware version.

Yes. I uploaded it back in February: http://maniacsvault.net/ecwolf/files/sh ... 1stbin.zip

Cool!

Had to also get the shim to avoid crashing on starting a new game. The music is certainly ... interesting. BJ barks when picking up dog food, which is funny. After completing the first encounter, the game crashed because "Could not find MAP65536!"

Yeah all those issues are known. The last one is most likely some score thing.

I think the food barking is correct. I'm fairly sure I cross checked that, am I mistaking? The MAP65536 thing is how Mac missions signal the end of the mission. With the ending being unimplemented, that's what happens instead. :P

I think even 3DO does that sometime, but I'll check in Basilisk just to be sure.
EDIT: Yeah this happens in real Mac version too. Maybe you should add optional way to "fix" it kinda like ZDoom does with those compat. settings. Since I doubt this was intentional unless BJ is dog the entire time

It was intentional. I believe a property of all the Mac Family wolfs. BJ always barks in the mac version.

The barking is definitely intentional.

Seems to be a joke of sorts. In any case, if you think it needs "fixing" you can make a mod (one line of SNDINFO can change it to whatever you want). Even if it was a bug, it's not one that causes any erroneous behavior in the engine, so it would just be deliberately breaking vanilla compatibility (even if just cosmetically).

The demo also crashed for me. Am I missing anything?

Whoops, forgot about those dumps. Well the crash dumps don't show the macshim.pk3 as being loaded.
