Log in question...

Post by DoomGuy »

Just wondered if any one uses the automatic log in? Supposedly you can check the box and the next time you visit the site, you will be automatically logged in. It has never worked for me. Is there some special code or secret hand shake  I need to make this work? Or does it just not work for anyone? Just curious. It's not a big deal to log in manually but I thought I'd ask. Thanks!

It works just fine for me - are cookies disabled on your browser?

Nope, Cookies are enabled (to a point) but I do use a firewall. Could that cause a problem? It's not a big deal anyway. Mostly just curious.

Sometimes mine doesn't work. Sometimes it does.

I'm using Opera as my primray browser, and it does exactly what Cutty said: sometimes it doesn't work, sometimes it does.

Works for me all the time. From home, I log in on 1 of 2 computers. One runs XP home, the other XP home, both fully updated and running ie. At work, it also works for me. Again, there are two computers I use - both running windows 98 and ie 5.0 (yeah, I know). The only time I have to log in, is when something changes on the site, or I clear my cookies.

IE alone is bad enough.

Well, it's a very good browser, unless you have access to the internet.

Well, it screws up often enough that I'm not entirely sure you could class it as access to the internet. So, that's OK. :)
