Regarding the name conflicts, why isn't GAMENAME used in place of them?

Is GAMENAME even passed to the dialog code? The dialog code isn't even proper C++, I would be surprised if pre-processor definitions ever even reach it.

This can be done the same way the version number is injected - by generating the final text in the source.
