Hi folks,
I'm trying to play huge maps with thousands of monsters both with Russian Overkill and Brutal Doom. Maps are generated with Oblige. Things work fine without either mod, but when I start using the mod, things slow to a crawl. I'm guessing this is because of transparency effects, glow, or other visual effects.
If I don't care about those things, how do I configure gzdoom for performance?
Thanks!

Re: Tuning settings for performance
Brutal Doom has a tendency to test a graphics card's performance. And if you combine that with larger maps, you'll inevitably run into problems on older, weaker hardware. With just a few settings you cannot change this. What you can try is disable dynamic lights, but that's pretty much it. Transparency barely registers as performance issue.
What's your graphics card anyway?
