Edit: That's odd. Added crouching is in the changelog, but not in the controls menu, or even the gameplay options menu. Do you need to set some map setting to allow crouching?

Look in your config file. It is the same damn way with Edge. Sometimes the new control features are buried in the config files for some some unknown reason.

It's in but completely untested. I added it because Enjay asked me about it. Once I get feedback from him I'll make it official but not before that.

Given the problems with MSVC8 and the fact that MSVC7 won't last forever, are there any plans to make GZDoom compilable with MinGW and GCC, like ZDoom 2097 (dbghelp.h permitting )? I notice there's no makefile with the source, so will GZDoom be a Microsoft-only program always, or just for now?

There's no point in migrating the current project. When I get my hands on a working 2.1.0 version I will build on that project and dump the current one. All I'd need then is someone who makes it GCC compatible.

I have never worked with it so I don't know what is needed.

MinGW is a really bitchy compiler (either that or MSVC lets you get away with too much, which I suspect is probably the case)

MSVC lets you get away with too much. Far too often it doesn't report serious issues. But I thing that gcc tends to warn too much.
