Good news! My FPS doubled for DoomCenterAdvanced2 Tech Demo. The map has a shit ton of dynamic lights (and is also a wide-open city map with very little 1-sided lines), and standing at the worst spot gave me 22 FPS with the old GLEW versions; but with GZDoom 2.0.03 I get 44 FPS.

^ GLEW version, 22 FPS

2.0.03, 44 FPS!

EDIT: PS can we please please please please please have a scaled version of the FPS counter? I almost always hate gauging FPS in ZDoom because the damn thing is too tiny for my eyes. :/

Yes, I also noticed a huge performance gain with Dynamic lighting aswell, but I was only able to test the first beta release of GZDoom 2.0. Once I have some time again (hoping that'll be soon), I'll try out the new build with my project! :D

As always, great stuff Graf Zahl!

Hey, got a little problem with this version.

I downloaded 2.0.03 and 1.8.02

1.8.02 is working fine, but in this newer one i got a complete yellow background
Image
(Didn't know how to make a proper screenshot :D Trying with paint only gave me black pictures )

Besides, picking up items in 2.0.03 makes the complete screen yellow (not the normal short yellow-flash)

I have a NV Gtx480
Driver: 337.88 win7/x64

Maybe it can help you guys

Seems that translucency is not working. That's really weird. I'm using the same driver version with a somewhat more recent card (550Ti) and all works fine.

I have the same issue as Happy. 1.8.7 works fine but any 2.x release gives the yellow main screen and while in game the UI has a black border around the ammo and health. Here's a pic:

Any updates on the problem I posted about on September 16? I would very much like to play the official GZDoom version 2 but cannot until the error is fixed.

N.B. I have Windows 7 SP 1 with Intel HD Graphics 400 (updated when I installed the beta, as I noted in my first post in this thread.)

Yes, that has been fixed.

But I can't do a new release until the model interpolation issue is fixed, but I'm a bit short on time for that, unfortunately.

Here's a comparison of Brutal Doom SE blood from 1.8.7 and 2.0.03, same config.

On another map, I took note of that blood on the wall was more similarly painted. Actually, to the contrary of the other examples, the blood on the wall in 2.0.03 looks better than in 1.8.7.

Is this related to earlier stated translucency issues?

^ this is probably the RenderStyle bug that was already fixed with the latest builds (my smooth blood splats work again in the latest Git builds)

1) Please report bugs in the Bugs forum.
2) Please check first if it also happens in ZDoom, if so, re-report there with a ZDoom crash log.
3) Please post the entire crashlog.zip, when you extract stuff you rip out half of the useful information.

Imo the dark blood is inconsistent with the blood on the sprites.

It is - but the darker blood looks so much better that I even wouldnt care about it.

The blood looks much more realistic this way.

Maybe we should sgtmark show this and request to make it this way :D
