What Doom Weapons Mods are you currently using?

Post by lizardcommando »

You know how a bunch of forums have topics like "What are you currently listening to?" and "What are you currently watching?"? I thought it's time this place has a subject similar to those, except this one deals with Doom weapons mods. So what Doom weapons mods is everyone currently using?

As for me, I've been using two Doom mods while playing a bunch of new levels: My Exterminator mod with new enemies and Wildweasel's Diaz mod. They're both totally different of course. One aims at being a cartoony and crazy FPS version of Metal Slug and another aims at being a realistic, futuristic tactical FPS. I'm not going to say anything else about my mod since that'll probably make me sound biased, but I'm really enjoying the Diaz mod. Sure, it makes things really hard in most Doom maps, but the weapons are pretty cool.

Anyways, so what weapon mods are everyone else currently using?

Currently, I'm running around with a really early version of Agent Hernandez: DoT, and of course, WWHC-Diaz.

Mostly Don's Challenge and Immoral Conduct. Is it just me, or does playing ReDoom feel like Demon Eclipse all over again?

Isn't that because most of the weapon graphics came from Demon Eclipse?

Yeah, most of the resources I used for ReDoom were Eriance's Demon Eclipse weapons.

Ahh, cw-sin1 was a good mod, I thoroughly enjoyed playing it over my network. Which reminds me, it's been a year and a few days since Cory Whittle updated his webpage =p I'm thinking that we will be waiting a long time for the second Don's Challenge.

my favorite weapon mod

Lately I'm using the Le Guns 2 mod, if it is called like this. Simply put, le-guns2.wad. It's compatible with all mods without any weapon/item modification, and the guns just kicks ass, IMO.

I'm sure I said as much over at Zdoom. It's a great mod, very well balanced and adds a nice bit of spice to existing and familiar levels. :D

I'm enjoying WWHC-Diaz at the moment, though I think I can make it sound a little better.

Wait, do you mind if I replace some sounds in the mod? Hell, i'm willing to work with you on sound effects if you want.
