[Request] A sound of a gregorian chorus

Post by Paul »

I kindly ask for someone to look up a sound for me. I'd like to have a short snippet of some latin singing in a church, cathedral, with very huge reverb and echo. Lyrics don't matter. If something like that doesn't do, there can be a single voice singing "hallelujah" or "pestis cruento" something daunting and staggering that would serve nicely upon seing hell in it's wholeness once you get there. Those of you who have Quake 3-droneboys or femdrone sounds are perfect for my situation, but I don't have the game.

Can someone do me this favor please?

How does some of the evil monk prayers from D3 sound?

I can rip those direct from game in a few minutes (got to find them first), but I don't have any way aside from ZDoom to test how they sound.

Is this any use? It's a sound I've been using in one of my own WADs. I think it maybe came from Q3 in the first place.

I've also got some full songs - 4 minute mp3s of Benedictine monks chanting and so on. However, they are the real deal and are far less ominous in tone.

Double post.
Enjay, please post those songs. That sort of stuff really inspires me. (I am no goth, though)

I don't have much webspace ATM and my upload speed is crappy today too. Here's one to get you going though.

In the past, I've been able to find a few for download but, not knowing the songs/chants by name, it can be a bit hit or miss. I only have a handful myself.

It sounds like 'Ave Satani' would be perfect for you. Link : http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=7623604

It's a Satanic chant, spoken entirely in Latin. Seems like what you're after...
