Sniper Scope?

Is it possible to make a zoom function that is strictly bound to a weapon? that is, a sniper rifle's alt-fire makes it a scope that zooms in?

There are hacky ways to do it, but there is no native/easy way to accomplish that.

well, as long as it can be done, I'll work. I've heard that SetCameraToTexture can be used for this?

Check out The Community Is Falling 3, it did just that I believe to give one of the weapons a scope.

I had a different idea of going about it... one that would also be effective against stealth monsters as well. Instead of zooming, my sniper rifle has an indicator that there is a valid target to shoot in front of you. It may not be what you were looking for though!
