Agreed. Unless the shiny effects were subtler AND change dynamically as you turn/mlook, they are no good. They will start to annoy the player after a short while. Simplicity is often the best way to go...

Yeah, decrease the transparency of it until it's just a subtle effect instead of an in-your-face bit of graphical fluff.

Not bad. It looks better than the first screenshot, but I still think it would be better without it. It's up to you though.

It is a pretty good job and pretty "helmetty".

However, looking at a supposedly 3D world through the limited portal of a monitor that gives you no peripheral vision or any of the other "luxuries" of really being in the environment represented is usually limitation enough (even too much) for me.

I made an edit of the Riotgun from SW. Yeah, that overused weapon you may have seen a lot in other mods. But now i want to ask an question:

Does anyone mind if i put an edited version of a overused weapon like the Riotgun?

The point is that i want to remove that M249 because the weapon sprites doesn't look good compared to the others. I think i'm not very good at making model rips. Basically i want to replace it with a chaingun-type weapon.

Edit looks good enough. Like how the barrels are bigger.

Updates:

- Fixed a lot of bugs.

Bullet sparks could be teleported. It could even kill you on maps that use the "Player Voodoo Doll" trick like TNT's map 30.

Some projectiles could go through walls and even doors.

As well as some other bugs that i can't remember right now.

- RP36 is now the Battle Rifle from Halo 2.

- Added decal effects

- Tweaked the smoke effects

- Added smoke effects on the Jetpack

- Added new sound for the RP36. Until i find a better one, i'll stick with the MP5 sound from the original Counter-Strike.

Updates:

- Fixed some more bugs.

- Removed the smoke bombs.

- Armor Bonus now adds 5 armor instead of 1.

- Changed firing sound for the Super Shotgun MK.3

- Tweaked the damage of some weapons

- Remade the title and credit screens

- Added a new alternate attack for the fists w/ninja scroll. basically it fires a Kunai which pushes a target towards you. kinda like the Strife's Loremaster chain attack.

Aside from issues (according to WildWeasel) with the SSGMK3 firing sound, a bug regarding the weapon selection order, etc, the mod seems ok. now i need some feedback from Chronoteeth.

I don't know if I'm a fan of the new shotgun and assault rifle. The old shotgun using the sprites from that one duke nukem rip was badass.

I like the new riotgun though, pretty awesome.

º Uses a heavily edited Devastator Weapon.

º Fires two rockets at once, dealing 1 damage each rocket. +STRIFEDAMAGE is used to prevent the weapon from being overpowered.
