Note about gzdoom-r336m_(zdoom-r1631).zip

Post by Gez »

Doomsday-style hires textures are broken. It uses a switch on an enum that is no longer used by ZDoom, and I took the lazy way out and commented out the code to get it to compile. After all, it's not an official version, it's just for the people who want to try out some of the new ZDoom features in GZDoom (I'm thinking of Cutman's impings for example).

You have either not provided the version of fmod this requires, or used the wrong one. The unmodified build uses 4.24.7, yet this uses 4.22.7 (which I can't find anywhere).

As a rule, old versions of fmod can be obtained here:
http://www.fmod.org/index.php/download/find

It is also possible to copy the download URL of an fmod package and simply change the version number. They're very consistent in their naming. E.g., at the time I'm typing this, the latest win32 installer is at <http://www.fmod.org/index.php/release/v ... taller.exe>. Between "fmodapi" and "win32installer.exe", you have the version number, 4.24.09, without the dots. So replacing it with 42207 gives you the installer for 4.22.07.

Anyway, this here version is obsoleted by the official release so I'm gonna delete it, and I'm installing 4.24.09 as I type this. Problem doubly solved.
