Trust me. Make the effort and learn GMAX if you want to make MD3s. It will be so much easier.

All the apps you mention in your last post have so many bugs and quirks you'll be pushed to produce anything decent.

The interface of GMAX is quite scary at first (this is 3DStudio after all so expect hundreds of buttons/features) but well worth the time it takes to learn.

Also once you've learned GMAX, moving to a Pro package like 3DStudio is soooo much eaiser.

I don't think so. I can't find any mainstream support for this tool so it'd be exclusively for you - and I have better things to do with my time than figuring out all the details of an animation format nobody else uses.

So much agree! GMAX is the best thing I could imagine to model MD3s and it's basically, as it was mentioned, 3ds lite (minus rendering, unless you count all crazy experiments those dudes were making with Yafray and Gmax)

Oh well, I've been following the tutorials in gmax and I think I can handle it... thanks anyway.
