But the downside to Milkshape that it is triangle-based only, so OBJs made out of quads will be triangulated which may not be desirable in some situations. :/

Milkshape kind of rubbed me the wrong way, so I am not very interested in using it.

In spite of having had a copy for years, I have never learned how to use Blender, but I guess I am willing to download a newer version and give it a try.
