If you want to improve KDiZD weapons do me a favour and do something with the Grenade Launcher. That goddamn thing is completely unusable, at least when I wield it, except while pumelling monsters deep down below you. The grenades have a sharp trajectory and they almost never hit anything, and their bouyancy hurts me more than it hurts the monsters. The smoke trail made of puffs looks really crap (use Imp's smoke trail) and the bounce sound is annoying (like cybie's stomping o_O) and somewhat out of place.

Have you tried using the secondary fire for the grenade launcher, Paul? Unlike the primary fire, you can aim and arc your shots. Once I found out about that, the grenade launcher become my third most used weapon behind the shotguns. I was even able to hit Cacodemons with practice.

I have no clue why the team didn't remove the crappy primary fire that doesn't arc with your aim. Totally worthless, IMO.

I hate to say this, but I also want to swap out the super shotgun's sprites with another set. I just don't like the current ones. Sorry, Paul. :( Alternatively, I might tweak the current sprites a bit.

Primary fire is good for dropping on enemies and controlled attacks round corners and things like that. The secondary fire can easily go anywhere due to it's high speed.

I think I should just modify my ww-doom2remake weapons for use with kdizd. I like those, and I dare say they're more accurate to the original Doom weapons than kdizd's decorate replacements (the shotgun spread is all wrong!).

I decided to take a break from my map to work on some more sprites! After a few hours of work, I finally finished my super shotgun replacement. It's id's SSG with some edits, along with a few frames taken from Cory Whittle's newest Don's Challenge mod to complete the look. Sprites created by Cory have his signature underneath them. I know he doesn't like people taking his graphics, but the KDiZD SSG has a few more frames than the original did and I didn't have the patience to create new ones.

Fun fact: The secondary fire was the original primary fire which was removed after someone on the team said it was useless because he couldn't control the bouncing.

Um, the * Copyright / Permissions * part in the .txt file from Cory's latest version of Don's Challenge says:

"Do whatever you like. A lot of work went into this, even if it isn't 100% original."

But still... :?

I've decided to switch out the current chaingun graphics with better ones I recently found on my harddrive. I hate to do this, but it just means another resource release for ya' guys. :D

G Launcher has alternative fire? ... now that's something curious. In my opinion though, an alternative fire with one of the guns while all other lack such plainly sucks and is like a ... hotdog in the chips. Lacks consistency.

Concerning the SSG sprites - I do realise they suck. They were done pretty on a rush-basis due to my lazyness ;) they should've had a lot more cleaning up. But blah. I was also going to do a drum-based g.launcher but.. ahh the lazyness. Before the near-release period sped up with KDIZD I, in my little faith, striked it as an unfinished project not woth attention, in all honesty.

Yep! :) It's based on Paul's minigun sprites. I was working on a project a while back where I modified them, but the project died and I discovered them again.
