Ok, thx. Now I know what the problem is. Typical. ATI doesn't even manage a proper VBO update. Pathetic!

Well, I'm glad I could be helpful. :)

I noticed the beta is now at 1.3.08. Did this include the fix? If so, it didn't work for me. If not, then excuse me.

Have you tried any of the listed options?

-vbo 0 and 1 works, 2 does not.

the author, please set the default mode for the Software, but not OpenGL, but I've got BSOD is always in the first run! who needs to, he will switch to OpenGL itself.

I won't do that. This is supposed to be an OpenGL port. The software renderer is just a bonus.

Pretty much the whole point of GZdoom is to have OpenGL features in Zdoom. Making the default software and getting people to enable OpenGL if they "need" it is the wrong way around IMO. People who want software should be the ones who pick it and OpenGL should be the default. When I fire up modern games, they don't start in software mode and ask me to enable OpenGL support. ;)

I know that doesn't solve your blue screen problem and the fact that you can't seem to get GZdoom to start in OpenGL mode (are you sure that the blue screen is due to GZdoom trying to start in OpenGL?) but it is how GZdoom should be IMO. Obviously Zdoom would be an option for you. Without the OpenGL renderer, there isn't just a hell of a lot of difference between Zdoom and GZdoom anyway.

[edit] What Graf said. ;) [/edit]

I can't remember, is there a command line switch to try and change the renderer at program startup?

What's different in .09 than .08?

The most notable changes that I fixed software texture warping and the initial setting of the vid_vsync CVAR

I see, and will future versions auto load the vbo command?

In the SVN the VBO will no longer be used on ATI - both for the bug and performance. I got one test which clearly showed that on ATI it makes no sense to mix VBO and immediate mode.

I'll upload 1.3.10 later today.

The BSOD indicates that something is wrong with your computer. With that I can't help you.

What's your graphics card anyway?
