Crash in GZdoom 0.9.23

This program hasn't done this until recently. but it tends to crash randomly when playing wad files (evne on the originals). There seems to have been nothing wrong with the programs, but when I look in the task manager, there are TWO copies of this engine consuming all of the CPU time, even when the engine itself terminated. I swear, I only opened one copy of the engine. Could this be a bug with the program or could it be a fault of my computer architecture? Hopefully it is not the latter.

If the program crashed once before and you just opened it again, then that may explain the "two copies" part. If your program crashes, you might want to check task manager immediately to make sure that it's not still in memory and eating up all your system resources. I know this happens to me a lot with Unreal Engine games (particularly Deus Ex).

'I have seen a crash' without crash log is the same as no report at all. Without information there is no way I can fix such a bug.

well it dint have a crash log, it was just the standard "GZDoom has encounted a fatel error blah" and the send/don't send to Microsoft. I'll see if i can get it to crash again.

I can't do anything without further information so I assume it's the same crash that was responsible for the .24 release.

I've gotten what I think is the same thing with .94 a few times. It happens seemingly at random after exiting a level. Maybe after exiting a level that has a text screen after it. Mine may be different though, as I was also playing music using the playlist command. If it happens again, I'll try and get some information from Microsoft's error report thing. I didn't bother brining it up because I thought it might just be my computer (which I am sure has bad ram) and also lately I can't seem to report a bug in any useful fashion.
