[map bug] Strife Shooting Range Bug?

If you can see the weirdness ontop of the of the targets... then I'm guessing it's either a map or rendering bug.. probably leaning towards map but I just needed an answer to that...

Where is that? In my copy of the full IWAD, the shooting range on map03 and even the one in the left-over copy of the teaser level (map33 I think) the shooting range looks different (ceiling flat is different for starters) and I don't get the "weirdness" you mention either.

Look up that area in an editor. It's totally screwed up.

Heh, yup. Bad sector references, missing textures... The Zdoom software renderer gets away with it and you've really got to be looking for the problem before you can see it, but it's still there.

On a similar note, I noticed the targets spin so fast that it's virtually impossible to tell if you've hit them or not.

Indeed they do. But that's how they were designed. It makes no sense though.
