[not a bug] Wind blow/Scrolls

I use DeePsea 12.13 as my level editor for GZDoom and tried to set up a sector as Wind blow/Scroll North. The 'wind' 'blew' me North but the floor texture didn't scroll. Same for the South and West. The 'wind' will 'blow' you but the floor texture doesn't scroll. The only "Blow/Scroll selection that worked was East. The floor scrolled and the 'wind' 'blew' you East. I sent and e-mail to SBSoftware and told them about the problem. I was informed that the port is the control over the sector actions. So it's an error in the GZDoom port? Anybody else have this problem? Is there a patch or fix for this? Thanks!

This is not a bug. The types are from Heretic and behave like the original game. Better use the Hexen or Boom scrollers. They are better than Heretic's.

Besides, the true 'wind' types never scroll. They are different than the scroll/carry types.

Still have a question on scroll / wind floors

The editor I use (DeePsea 12.13) has a place where you select the 'project' you aare going to use. I am guessing that this is associated with an '.opt' file. I am currently using a project for GZDoomHexen. I would think this would use the option file for GZDoom and Hexen. So what's my next option?

I'm sorry but when it comes to DeepSea you have to ask somebody else. I don't use that editor and have no idea how it organizes and names configurations.

Eureka!

:D I figured it out! The selections for 'Scrolls' works fine in all directions. Which means, I am not sure why the Wind / Scrolls would be needed. As far as I can tell, they both do basically the same thing. Thanks for your help.

They exist for compatibility with the different games. One set are Hexen's types and the others are Heretic's. To handle each game correctly both sets are needed.
