Make sure that in ATI's CP/CCC that Mipmap Detail Level is set all the way to Quality.

Well, when you update the drivers/software, the settings can be fuxored. Sometimes you may want to reset settings to default and then manually change them afterwards. (The app problably uses its own settings independant of the actual value, which can cause negative effects.)

I should've said setting make sure the setting is at High Quality though. Try doing the above suggestion first (reset settings to defaults), and if it doesn't work, use the Mipmap value that allows GZDoom to work correctly).

I have a Radeon 9800 Pro with the latest CATs (6.5) and High Quality works fine.

I get this effect when I try to run two OpenGL apps simultaneously. Do you have anything running in the background that hijacks the GPU?

thats the thing, there's no other apps open at the time, its almost like gzdoom runs something twice
