Odd Behaviour w/teamplay option

If you start a new single player game (no coop, or bots) and go to options, game options, and turn teamplay on it will say <playername> has joined the <randomname> team. I dont think it should say that in a singleplayer game. It only says it once, even if you keep toggling the option on and off, you need to start a new game for it to do it again

Check your player settings. For me it seems to be like this:
My default config: I'm on the blue team, teamplay is off, no message.
- Switch teamplay on: I'm already on the blue team, no message.
- Switch team to none (only possible while teamplay off): "Matt is now a loner."
- Switch team to none, then switch teamplay on: "Matt joined the blue team."
- Switch teamplay off after that: I'm on a team, but teamplay is off so it doesn't matter, no message.
- Switch teams anytime, whether teamplay is on or off: "Matt joined the [color] team."
As long as teamplay is on my sprite translation changes to that of my team, whether or not I get a message.
If that's the way it's working for you, I don't think it's really a bug - after all, it is useful if you're already in a deathmatch and you want to organize a team game halfway through.

This, however, might be a very minor, vaguely bug-like artifact:
team -1
Matt joined the bad allocation team
EDIT: If you turn on teamplay, then enter the above into the console, and then go to player setup and try to go even lower, you'll end up hitting another bad allocation team, then the startup[5-1] teams, then the "$ L$ A S" team, and then (G)ZDoom will crash. I'm pretty sure this is within the "Don't do that!" realm of bugs, though...
