Flickering madness while overlapping an actor

This one might be a bugger to reproduce. Lemmie know if you need a test map.

On my portal mod you teleport from one actor to another. But with the latest GZDoom when you're overlapping the actor you just teleported onto, you can see it in your screen and it rapidly flashes.

As far as I know that's all that's causing it but I can't be for sure right now cause i'm at work.

Test map would be fine. Without it I won't be able to do much here.

Yes, I've noticed this too. It doesn't cause me any problems, but I could see it being quite a detractor from Cutty's portal WAD. I noticed it in Hexen and in a DM mod that teleported you directly onto a large weapon sprite.

I've attached a Hexen text WAD. Jump into either teleport and it wil take you to the other one. Stand there for a moment and you'll see your view being obliterated by the red teleport smoke. You may have to rotate or try a second teleport to really get the effect as occasionally it seems less bad than at other times.

Try the same WAD in 1.0.32 and the fog does not obscure your view when you teleport.

Hopefully fixed but needs some testing. I'll commit it later.

OK, on trying this with r20 I'd say it's pretty good. With the above test map, sometimes I get a very brief view of the teleport fog if I strafe left off the right teleport pad after telporting to it from the left one. However, on going back to 1.0.32 the same thing happens, only more obviously.

In r20 I've actually got to try quite hard to manage to see the red smoke, and then I only manage for an instant after actually moving in a certain way. I'd say it's fixed compared to the previous few r versions and also improved versus 1.0.32.

Actually it's precisely the same as 1.0.32. I just undid an addition that didn't work properly.

Curious. Perhaps there is something slightly different in my setup between the 2 versions (although I can't see what) because, repeatedly, r20 gives a slightly better result than 1.0.32. Although both are very acceptable.
