[Driver issue]a couple bugs

first, gamma. say I have it set to 1.5, then I quit the game. When I start it again, the gamma correction is not there, it's as if it was just 1. if i hit F11 again, it goes to 1.6 as it should and the gamma correction jumps up to that level. it should always be at the level I last set it to.

second, I get glitched out graphics either on the title screen, or in the game itself, depending on whether I go straight to the title screen (run "gzdoom.exe" straight) or straight to any map (run "gzdoom.exe +map [map]")

on regular startup the title screen always looks like this:

and if I skip the title screen and go straight to a map (in this case map01) then it looks like this:

Image

If I change the resolution, alt-enter, or otherwise refresh the display, it goes away and doesn't return until next startup. also, I guess loading a map counts as a refresh of some sort, because when I start to a title screen and then start a new game, it's all fine.

i'm hoping that can be fixed, as it's an inconvenience to have to un-glitch it all the time when running straight-to-map from Doom Builder.

Could ypu please list your system's specs? Since this happens to no one else it is most likely a driver issue.

Same with the gamma. For me it works perfectly.

Ugh. The drivers appear to look ok. Are they the latest version?

I'm sorry I can't really help you. Something on your system is probably not ok but how could I diagnose it?

Maybe you should upgrade/downgrade/reinstall your drivers (make a backup first!) and see what happens.
Recently I had a problem with a driver as well. It created all kinds of garbage, especially on the desktop so I reverted to an older version. Fortunately the subsequent release fixed the problems and all works well now.

okay, i'll try that out.

*starts putting money away for a new card

edit: fixed the glitchy graphics by fiddling with my video card settings..heh. still have the gamma problem but oh well, i'll deal. maybe i can fiddle with the settings some more and it'll go away.

to the Closed Bugs! :)
