[151] Massive slowdown with Phocas Island 2

In GZDoom 1.1.04, I can play at 1280 x 1024 with full FPS while in the beach area at the beginning of the game. Everything is smooth no matter where I stand.

With the same INI, phocas2 runs horribly slow in 151. The beach becomes very choppy. What could possibly cause this slowdown?

Happens with Torm's City of the Damned 2: Apocalypse as well.

Can you post your INI?


And it would help me a lot if you could investigate which revision is the first to show this problem.

Ok, I found the cause. Ironically it was the changes to ZDoom's profiling code that causes the slowdown... :?

That comes as no surprise (eventhough I don't really know much about the code). Hope Randy fixes it...

Read my bug report at the ZDoom forum. It's a bit technical but contains all the information I have.
