Option to Prechache all textures?

I'm running GZDoom with the DHTP texture pack and texture precaching enabled, but I've noticed that the precacher misses a lot of stuff. For most maps I get slowdowns every time I enter a new room.

But hires texture packs like DHTP are only ~100 MBs, which isn't that much memory by todays standards. Would you consider giving the option to just load everything on startup?

Texture packs are 100MB *packed*!

When being unpacked these can easily add up to a lot more so it's clearly something that is not advisable, especially with older cards that require multiple versions of textures for some effects.

Oops, I forget the textures had to be unpacked first. xD

But I still get slowdowns every time I see a new texture... could this be a bug with the texture precacher? I'm running on a laptop with an integrated video card with shared memory. (But it's decent enough I guess; it can run Left 4 Dead on medium.) Could that have something to do with it?
