Sprite rendering stippled on Intel 965GM

I just downloaded the latest GZdoom SVN, and all sprites are rendered weird:

What could be causing this?
CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU T2330 @ 1.60GHz
GPU: Intel(R) 965GM 4.1.3002 (Mesa DRI)
OS: Kubuntu 8.04, kernel 2.6.24-19-generic x86_64
I know others have had problems with the 64-bit build, but this seems more like a GPU problem.
Edit: almost forgot, GZdoom version is v1.2.1 - SVN revision 321
Also, setting "gl_forcemultipass 1" seems to cause the same effect on flats.
Edit 2: Just compiled a 32-bit version, same problem.
