there seems to be some bugs surrounding the terrains.lmp in gzdoom. if i load it it causes a crash. it kinda works if i have it autoload in the config file but it only makes teh sounds if you jump or fall from a few feet. just a small drop causes no sound like it does in zdoom. same with splash3.wad

Hmmm, I wonder if this is deliberate (not the crash obviously - which doesn't happen with my terrains BTW). The silent small drop largely prevents the masive collection of footfall sounds you get when monsters walk down a slope.

that makes sense,
maybe theres a way to make only the water, nukage, lava, slime and blood have sounds for short drops

That was a deliberate change. Otherwise you'd hear constant splashing from monsters going in and out of nukage so I only splash when the falling speed is not very small.
The crash must come from elsewhere. Aside from a few adjustments for 3D-floors the terrain code is the same as ZDoom's. Can you post the lump that causes the crash?

it was the terrains lmp from the terrain wad. while i was on internet i tried it on my other computer which doesnt have any autoload files and it worked fine so it just must of been a conflict between wads. ill post lmp anyways and attach it so as not to post a whole page. sorry to have been a waste of time
