forced random in playerclass selection

hi gzdoom developers
can you please fix the bug in the player class selection that goes to random everytime?
aeod is a pain to play w/ this bug and the latest aeod patch doesnt work properly with
the previous release of gzdoom

still i dont quite understand what does that mean..
how am i supposed to choose the class before starting the game?
without using the console

The choice is made the exact moment when the game is started. The only thing that no longer works /because it never should have) is that a class selection becomes immediately set after leaving the class menu to the skill menu.

ok maybe im too dumb to understand the mechanics behind this or the reason why you changed this feature
that imho was so good in the previous release
(because i didnt have to set everytime the class before starting a game if i want to play the same class as the previous episode)
one thing that keep happening is that i cant start the game using the class i selected in the player menu
for example:
i select a class in the player options (lets call it class A)
i press ESC button to go back
i start a new game
current class is not class A but class B, or C or whatever.
how do i fix this?

Which version are you using? What you are talking about sounds like an older bug that has since been fixed.

this bug does not happen with latest zdoom version dl from here
http://zdoom.org/files/zdoom/2.5/zdoom-2.5.0.zip
the point is that aeod without full mouselook support and gl is unplayable

Please get the latest SVN build from
http://svn.drdteam.org/
Zdoom 2.5.0 was before the menu code was changed so obviously it doesn't have the bug.

i just tried this build gzdoom 1.5.3 (r1077)
from here

already did that some days ago
tried again now same exact thing
the mouse arrow is different
the position of the menus are different
but the player class bug is still there.

sorry for the double post but i really dont understand why the hell my post has been put INSTANTLY in the closed bug session.
this bug is nowhere near closed.
it has been reported before by another user and that post too considered as closed bug.

I guess it's because:

There's no tagging system on this forum, otherwise it would have been tagged "[Duplicate]" for this reason.
