Spoiler: Ini file from link
Spoiler: zdoom ini file

I recently bought a hi def monitor and I get "display not supported" when trying to run Gzdoom as well as Skulltag. I have adjusted the resolution and refresh rate to no avail. Software display works fine and other games run fine in open gl. I have not made any updates to my graphics card or anything else. The only thing new is the monitor.

No avail, even when using the monitor's native resolution? (1366 x 768. From your ini, you're in 800x600.)

Ah...how stupid of me. Yes, that worked. It doesn't work on any resolution lower than that. Thanks. :D
After setting it at native I was able to adjust open gl settings to some other resolutions in the 16:9 ratios. 4:3 does not display at all.

Yeah, if you want a non-native ratio, you'll have to play in windowed mode... The engine cannot force the monitor to work in a mode the monitor is incapable of handling.

In full-screen, I'd recommend keeping the native resolution since it's the only one where pixels will be clear and crisp on an LCD screen.

CRTs are a lot more flexible for the resolutions they can display. (For example, Doom was coded to run in 320x200, a 16:10 mode, displayed on a 4:3 physical ratio, resulting in pixels stretched vertically. This was fine on a CRT; but it's impossible on an LCD.) Of course, CRTs have their own set of problems.

Some LCDs (like mine) can interpolate smaller resolutions, but it doesn't look very good. (Most notable during POST and boot, where there's a very blurry look to the screen font.)
