Considering:
[*] It was working well with the previous version with the same files and launch commands
[*] doom2.wad is freedoom.wad
[*] With the previous version, i need to put the WAD files in ~/.gzdoom but now have to stay in ~/.zdoom or it can't find them.
[*] I an old topic http://forum.drdteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=5801 have a similar problem, but i have the time correctly and i have the newest nvidia drivers installed (recently updated for Steam Beta, but i think Gzdoom was working with them until it was updated). I don't know if it's really related.

Some help, please?

First, try building r1499 instead.

Secondly, I'm puzzled by the first line of your log:
GZDoom v1.7.0 - SVN revision 1418 - SDL version
V1.7.0 was tagged in r1494; r1418 cannot be v1.7.0.

Thank you, I was thinking someone update only in the repository the version number, but i see it was in your "official" repository http://debian.drdteam.org/, and that makes me doubt if the file is really updated or not.

Anyway, i'm trying to compile trunk, 1.7 and 1.6 versions from svn for test, but i have some problems in build step, related for sure to missing external libraries or fmod (Have i use any specifical version? I'm using libfmodex-4.44.03.so), but not related with the main problem, i think.

1.7.0 cannot be compiled on Linux. This is a known issue. Trunk should compile.

It cannot be compiled, but in your "official" debian/ubuntu repository http://debian.drdteam.org/ GZDoom is 1.7.0 version, what it's impossible because you say it's a known issue 1.7.0 cannot be compiled on Linux, and the revision number is 1418 when the svn 1.6.0 version is 1419. I don't understand why update the repository with a strange false 1.7.0 version what i cannot test (I don't know what is the source), and, for me at least, don't work. It's better to keep the old and truly working version there than other with know problems.

I got compile the svn 1.6.0 version (GZDoom 1.6.0 r1419/ZDoom 2.6.0 r3730) and the trunk version (GZDoom 1.7.0 r1499/ZDoom 2.6.1 r4002 | Dec 30 2012) with the correct FMOD version, and both compile and work without problems in my system. The repository version still not working.

Update: I can add, GZDoom 1.6.0 search iwads in ~/.gzdoom, but the trunk version and the repository not working 1.7.0 version search in ~/.zdoom. I don't know, but if GZDoom repository version is 1.7.0 r1418 (less than 1.6.0) with ZDoom 2.6.1 r4002 [Dec 23 2012] (like trunk version) it will have any problem there.

The debian repository is not official as far as GZDoom is concerned. It's maintained by Blzut I believe. I have no control over it, and I don't think Graf does either.

Yes, because that i say "official" with quotation marks. I haven't considered that could be a problem in the repository until you indicated the revision numbers mismatch, it was more usual a problem in my system with the new version of any kind.

Anyway, i decided to put here because i don't find any information about the problem, and with the previous version i haven't any one. It isn't nice to have a repository for easy update the project and have some wrong files there, i don't know if you could contact with the repository maintainer to fix this possible problem, possible because now i only know i have that problem. I only want to help.
