Good day! Bought a laptop with a graphics card AMD radeon7970m, and I want to say that gzdoom stutters and slows down in the detailed levels such as in the vada putrefier, although video card AMD radeon7970m very powerful, but for some reason the brake and stuttering in it? Drivers are the new ones.
But on a computer that does not slow putrefier there card Nvidia gtx 460 se, but because Nvidia gtx 460 se has 288 cores, and AMD Radeon 7970m entire 1200 cores! What does this mean? Brakes should not be in the AMD radeon7970m, but why that is on my laptop there is! :(
Perhaps, if optimize gzdoom on the video card AMD Radeon 7970m? Thank you in advance for your help!

Nvidia generally has much better performances than ATI or Intel for OpenGL stuff. The people who work on the drivers at Nvidia care about OpenGL a lot. Whereas ATI and Intel seem to think only DirectX matters.

There isn't anything we can do here.

So for AMD radeon7970m not available optimization gzdoom?
But look, as well as myself will be in the video card Nvidia gtx680m gzdoom? Better than AMD Radeon 7970m? Or for example Nvidia gtx670m? And then Nvidia gtx680m is expensive for me :o

Sorry, there's not much that can be done.

All benchmarks I made clearly show that AMD's driver is horrendously inefficient - to the point that it approximately costs 2 generations of graphic cards' power.

The number of cores is rather meaningless here because the engine can't make use of all of them. The performance is lost while getting the data onto the graphics card, not while having the graphics card process it.

I have a Geforce 550Ti and absolutely no performance problems whatsoever. Even highly detailed levels rarely drop below 100 fps for me. And that's a low/medium range card.

If for example I set the laptop Nvidia gtx675m, it will change the situation?
Just in my laptop two video cards are installed, one is hd4000, and the second is a discrete AMD radeon7970m. Worth-I have to change the video card in my laptop on Nvidia?
