Doom 2 and metadata loop tags

Hello, I'm the guy who put together the Roland SC-55 music pack for Doom/Ultimate Doom at http://sc55.duke4.net/.
I'm just finishing up the Doom II soundtrack and I'm testing it with GZDoom with the latest build and I'm noticing that it's not respecting the LOOP_END tags. It loops back to the LOOP_START just fine, but my tracks fade out at the end. I insert a LOOP_END tag before the fade out so that the loop is seamless. Is there a reason why this isn't working? I've also recorded a Hocus Pocus soundtrack from the SC-55 and have been using it with the Hocusdoom mod by rf'. It also doesn't respect the LOOP_END tags of those tracks, but it does loop back to LOOP_START just fine. The only tracks that seem to loop properly and respect LOOP_END are the original Doom 1 music files.
Thoughts?
