gzdoom 2-0-05 crash - Fullscreen

Hello!

I'm having a problem with Doom fullscreen mode. Sometimes it runs fine in fulscreen, but most of the times it shows only black screen (sound is ok and I can navigate in menu too, but can't see anything). When I try to change between fullscreen to windowed mode with alt+enter it crashes. Sometimes it crashes after I load the first map, so I really don't know what could be the problem.

I'll upload the crash report, so maybe you can help me out in some way. :/

Thanks in advance!

Do you get this on the latest version?

Thanks for the fast reply!

Crashing seems to have gone, yes. But the black screen is a thing. On 1366x768 fullscreen the game usually has black screen, if I alt+enter for windowed mode it disappears, and can be played. But on other resolutions, like 1280x720 or 1024x768 it's almost always playable on fullscreen, sometimes I get black on startup, but usually restarting the game fixes it.
Don't know what causes it :/

Your crash log seems to indicate that you're using an Intel GPU but it doesn't specify what kind.

Have you upgraded to the latest drivers?

Thanks for the heads up, I'll download the newest driver when I can and respond back. And by the way, I changed the graphics card to use for gzdoom from integrated graphics to the dedicated gpu. (runs much faster) So I'll see if that solves anything.

That is not surprising. Intel's GPU's were never meant for heavy gaming. Mine actually runs GZDoom very smoothly, but running actual benchmarks on it shows a clear difference between my dedicated NVidia chipset and Intel's integrated one.

Hi guys. I tried to play with the updated driver for integrated gpu and it seems the black screen on startup bug has vanished, so It could have been the driver. The game runs just fine with the dedicated gpu too, so...

Thanks for the replies. :)
