[can't reproduce & map bug]automap overlay bug w/follow

In DAEDALUS.WAD, if you turn OVERLAY AUTOMAP and FOLLOW on, and go to the kitchen, and "climb" up or down the stairs, cross the teleport line, the map stays put, focused on the line you teleported from, stuck there untill you start moving for a while, then it "snaps" over. Also, in the room you can enter from the kitchen, take a look at these shots, after the machine has been activated (although I can hardly bitch, in the previous version, there was an orange hole as the box reset itself). It goes into the wall fine, but once it gets in so far, the wall dissapears for a splt second as you can see. I hope these are real "bugs" this time. :P

EDIT: Drat. It posted the pictures in reverse order. But you can figure em out.

EDIT: Upon loading a save and trying again it works, but i experenced the problem again. You apperantly have to leave the automap on and move across a detailed map to see it get screwed up like that. Just leave the overlayed automap on for awhile, and you should eventually see what I mean.

On a side note, the "bar" that DAEDALUS.WAD puts on the screen, it looks kind of odd. Isn't it supposed to do something?

I can't reproduce the automap bug. For me it works perfectly.

The second one is standard issue polyobject bleeding. That's an inevitable result of improper polyobject placement and Daedalus has a lot of it. I'm just amazed it doesn't show more often.

You shure about the automap bug, try it in the engineering scetion, you have to walk around with it on through maps for awhile, and you will defenify notice it. The origional bug with the teleporting lines wasn't due to the teleport, but due to the automap bug. Try walking around for a while with it on and see. If not, np.

I wonder when i'll find a fixable bug. :?: :P
