[not a bug] 3D floors +slopes problem

Post by Daniel »

Hello

I made a small level, and I wanted to combinate the 3d Floors with slopes, but I made a complex structure.

First, I made the 3D structure just as I wanted (you can see the wad "_before.wad" that is on the attachment). After this step, I put Slope-action lines on all the desired control sectors, following the right way to do 3D floors + slopes. Btw, a lot of strange bugs appeared.

Download the file and run it.

Ah, I just forgot. This file runs in NeoDoom. If you want to see it on the normal Doom 2, just convert the textures and flats with the ones from Doom 2 using a map editor.

The way you try to define slopes doesn't work.

Read this thread which discusses this problem:

http://forum.drdteam.org/viewtopic.php?t=1696

But it will be quite hard to give your structure the proper layout.

So the 3D slopes are limited only to bridges, not to complex structures, aren't they? Okay, I'll work with this in mind.

If you can figure out the slope you can do it. You have to project the slope from the place in the map where it is supposed to show up to the control sector. But it's rather complicated.
