[0.9.3]Hexen is acting stupid

It is. I'm playing through Shadow Wood and it just doesn't act right in some spots. Note that I can play this fine in 63a (only version I've ever played Hexen on) but this is acting just plain wierd. Before you ask, yes I have the 1.0 IWAD, and yes I have the exe, and yes I've PATCHED THE GODDAMN MOTHERFUCKER BEFORE (not that it did anything). So, uh, is there any help available?

Er, sorry. Some HUD messages foul up badly, usually giving me garbage untypable on a keyboard, some textures appear as though they were rendered with the software renderer, and some just plain don't appear (this includes flats). Also, when playing as a Cleric and selecting the Serpent Staff it is about as useful as using the mages er, well the mages starting weapon (forgot what its called).

If you'll give me a momen't I'll try to get you a shot of whats going on. I don't know if I can get the hudmessages to reappear, but I'll find a place where the textures screwed up certainly.

aside from the fact that GZDoom just made my desktop restart (which it does not do under any circumstances), I got nothing. Loading the savegame, btw, caused this.

I know this isn't very helpful, and you probably cant figure out jack shit from what I told you, but this is really frustrating.
