[fixed] GZDoom problem with fog value of 00

Post by NeoHippo »

GZDoom (14, 15 and 18 but not 16) crashes with a fog value of 00, as applied to the transfer_heights swimmable
water lower texture. Originally, I had set this to F91122AA and I had no problems. Just now I changed it to 001122AA
and GZDoom crashes when I jump into the "water" and sink into the fake floor. At that point the screen freezes, goes
black and the 'ZDoom Very Fatal Error' crash report pop up menu comes up.

Update on this:
The problem still exists with 19. However, now the crash does not happen as soon as Doomguy jumps into the water, but when the demons start gnawing on him.

Then I tried this with all versions down to 14, all do the same thing.

Maybe it was just coincidental that on the previous occasions it happened on entering the water.

Issue with your video card, likely (it works fine here, in other words). To be more specific, it might be something with the way the screen blends are used when the player is getting hurt - but it's up to Graf to figure any more out.

Fixed. It only happens if you use Boom colormaps as palettes so it didn't happen with my normal settings.
